Coaching
Writing coaching
As I often remind my students, nobody is born with the skill, vision, and motivation required to become a great writer. We cultivate these traits, often in community. I’m excited to join you as a guide and companion through any of the following:
shaping your creative vision
getting started
keeping going
restarting/getting unstuck
publishing short or long form prose
building community
strengthening your craft
My coaching offers structure and professional feedback while centering the complex emotional experience of writing and publishing, which often gets overlooked in outcome-focused coaching. I also bring a sense of humor and lots of lived experience as a working writer who still struggles with uncertainty.
I want you to come away feeling joyful, capable, and satisfied with your writing practice.

Am I a good fit?
Writing can stir up anxiety—I get it! As someone who has spent decades navigating the complex intersection of mental health and writing, I bring deep empathy to the writing and publishing process. My clients are creative writers and student writers who want awareness and support without compromising expertise.
With a Master’s-level creative writing education and years of professional experience, I can help you bridge the gap between your vision and what’s appearing on the page.
I believe stories can be told in many different ways, and I’m constantly pursuing new perspectives on the emotional experience of writing, craft, the publishing landscape, and trauma-informed coaching. This means my methods may evolve, but my goal remains the same: to help you feel confident and in control of your writing and your practice.
